Notes from the Classroom

*Please remember no toys from home are to be brought to school.
*It is usually very warm in the classroom, so please have you child wear layered clothing so he/she can remove a layer if necessary.
*I sent a Special schedule/calendar home on Monday for your convenience.
*Sneakers for safety please!!

*We have a classroom Treasure Chest that students can earn a prize from for good behavior, turning in homework, etc. If you have any Happy Meal type toys that you would be interested in donating to the classroom, they would be placed in the Treasure Chest for the kids to choose from.

Open A Book... Find a Treasure!!

Arrgh, Me mateys!!! We read so we wouldn't have to walk the plank! We found a treasure map in a bottle. We followed the clues around the building until we found our treasure of ring pops!! We even got books from PARP!! We earned gold doubloons for reading and bought loot at the Pirate's Cove!! We had fun writing about being a pirate and then dressing like one!!!!

ELA

We are finished with our reading series. We are working on our end-of-the-year assessments for reading and writing.



Spelling

We are done with spelling for the rest of the school year!

Math

We have completed our math program.

Science/Social Studies

We are learning about ocean animals and summer activities.
